Vice President, New Business Development & CSR
Ilari Aho is Vice President of Uponor Group's New Business Development & CSR, and is responsible for the group's strategic research and innovation management, new business development, standardisation and legislation and CSR functions. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has close to 30 years of experience in business development, R&D and product development in the fields of radiant heating and cooling, low energy buildings and renewable energy.
Ilari is the former Chairman of the Board of Green Building Council Finland, and currently serves as FiGBC’s Nomination Committee Chair. He currently serves as Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the The European Construction, Built Environment and Energy Efficient Building Technology Platform (ECTP), Vice President of ENCORD (European Network of Construction Companies for R&D) and Steering Committee Member of EHI (Association of the European Heating Industry). He has also served as President of EnR (the European Energy Network), President and Board Member of iiSBE (International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment) and in a number of other global networks in the energy efficiency and green building fields.
