The WorldGBC Roadmap: An Introduction to GBC Development outlines nine categories of Council development, forming the basis for the Council Creation Toolkit. The Toolkit encompasses and builds on the introductory information outlined in the Roadmap and offers detailed documents for forming a Green Building Council. It includes twelve supporting tools and a variety of other resources such as the GBC network contact list, the WorldGBC backgrounder, and sound clips from interviews with GBC leaders.

The twelve tools were developed to assist potential GBCs by providing further guidance, information, and working examples, for each of the nine Roadmap steps.  These tools include:

The Council Creation Toolkit is an electronic, interactive collection of documents that is available to potential Green Building Councils.  The supporting tools and resources will only be granted to Councils that have submitted an Expression of Interest and have been approved by the WorldGBC.
