The Operations Manager will play a critical role in the strategic growth of the organisation in addition to managing operations for the organisation. The Manager will support the CEO in managing the day-to-day running of the WorldGBC, and will coordinate with the core WorldGBC team and the Board to manage key governance, management and operational items including development and adherence to Bylaws; management of Board papers, minutes and meetings; office set-up; contracting of staff; IT management; accounts payable and receivable; budget development, management and polices; expense policies; (US) IRS compliance; etc.
The Manager will also support the WorldGBC’s international operational partnerships and future growth, working with the CEO and future regional managers to establish operations in different countries and coordinating with current and future operational partners, including other GBCs and the Toronto Region and Conservation Authority in Toronto. The Manager will also work closely with various staff on overseeing and managing major grants, including EU grants. The Manager will report directly to the CEO.
The role is ideally suited to an individual with 5-7 years of operational, administration and relationship management experience. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience of budgeting and working internationally, as well as a passion for the mission of the World GBC.
