WorldGBC Global Update: July 2013

WorldGBC Congress – Meet the Speakers

Join us for Congress in Cape Town this October for sessions with eminent thought-leaders on sustainability and global green building trends.  Already confirmed are Cameron Sinclair, co-founder and CEO of Architecture for Humanity; Gunther Pauli, well known for his innovative 'Blue Economy' concept; and Prashant Kapoor of IFC, who is spear-heading the World Bank's focus on scaling up investment into green building.

Communicating our Impact – Members' Survey 2013

Almost 100,000 buildings registered, one billion square metres of green floor area, 30,000 volunteers! Just some of the encouraging information we gathered in last year's WorldGBC Members' Survey. Now you can help us to communicate our global impact by completing the 2013 survey. The results will be available for all members to use, so take the survey by 31 July and let us know how the green building movement is doing in your country.

Nominate a Global Green Building Entrepreneur!

The David Gottfried Global Green Building Entrepreneurship Award recognises our green building pioneers. If you know someone whose contribution to the global green building movement has been unique, innovative and entrepreneurial, we want to hear from you. Nominations are open until 31 August 2013.

Welcome to Our New Board Members

The WorldGBC welcomes five new Directors to the Board in July 2013. They bring with them knowledge and skills that will be invaluable in helping us convey our green building message. Meet our new Directors.

Government Leadership Awards – Nominate a City Policy

Nominations are still open for the WorldGBC Government Leadership Awards.  Help us to showcase outstanding city-level green building policy around the world by submitting your nomination by 26 August. Find out how.
