Congress Resources and Feedback
This year's Congress in Cape Town was our best yet, with 75 delegates from 34 countries and plenty of development opportunities, networking and strategising. Thanks go to our sponsor Shaw Contract Group and our host the GBCSA for their support in making the event a success.
Couldn't make it to Cape Town or want to relive it? Check out all the action in our photo wall, and download the presentations. We'll soon have videos of the sessions available, too – look out for those next month.
We want to make sure Congress is interesting and relevant, and best serves you, our members. Please help us to make next year's Congress in Sao Paulo, Brazil even better by completing our short Congress survey.
Interested in Hosting Congress in 2015 or 2016?
We are seeking GBC partners for our upcoming Congresses in 2015 and 2016, and it could be your GBC that hosts this annual gathering of the green building council network. All Established GBCs are eligible to host, so if you are interested in partnering with us, please indicate your intentions to Kim Surtees by 25 November. At this stage, we need to know your approximate suggested conference dates and the date by which you would need to know whether you have been chosen. More information about the application process will be sent to those that express interest, so make sure you let us know by 25 November!
Download the Pilot Socio Economic Framework for Rating Tools
Launched at Congress in Cape Town last month, the Pilot Socio Economic Framework for Rating Tools is a valuable resource that considers how a more sustainable built environment can help address pressing socio economic issues. Green Building Councils are encouraged to use this framework as a starting point for integrating socio-economic impacts into their own green building rating tools. We are gathering feedback on this pilot phase of the project, and we encourage you to download and use the framework.
