World Green Building Week Is Almost Here!

Now's your chance to show the world how you Get Up, Green Up this World Green Building Week. From 22 to 27 September, almost 150 events in 30 countries around the world will help to raise awareness of green building and the work that GBCs do to transform our built environment. Get the word out there! Join in one of the events, or organize your own activity – we have downloadable resources and some great ideas to get you started. Already holding an event? Asia Pacific Leadership Awards in Green Building Winners Announced

Congratulations to our winners! We are delighted to announce the winners of the inaugural Asia Pacific Regional Network Leadership Awards in Green Building. Te Mirumiru, a bilingual childcare center in New Zealand, was chosen as the winner from a field of 57 projects around the Asia Pacific region. Three companies – City Developments Limited, ITC Limited and Keppel Land Limited – were chosen from a field of 55 companies for their commitment to integrate sustainability into their business models. SCI City Market Briefs Available

How are major cities around the world incorporating sustainable construction? Find out with the Sustainable Cities Initiative's Green Building City Market Briefs, short snapshots of the green building industry and policies in the world's key cities. Free to download, these short briefs are packed with useful information that highlights policy best practices and gives a roadmap for market transformation at the local level. Nominate for the Greenest School on Earth Award

Know of a green school that deserves recognition? You can nominate that school as the Greenest School on Earth! This annual recognition of schools that exemplify how sustainability can be integrally woven into infrastructure, culture and curriculum could see your nominated school win a $1,000 grant for a sustainability initiative. Winning schools are also profiled on the Center for Green Schools website. Applications close 27 September, so nominate your green school now.

Be Inspired at Greenbuild

Greenbuild is the world's largest conference and expo dedicated to green building. Greenbuild brings together industry leaders, experts and frontline professionals dedicated to sustainable building in their everyday work, and a unique energy is sparked. The 2014 event will take place from 22 to 24 October in New Orleans. Register here.

Register for the Sustainable Innovation Forum at COP20

Now in its fifth year, the Sustainable Innovation Forum brings together world leaders, CEOs, senior executives, national, regional and city leaders, investors and industry experts to share ideas and accelerate innovative solutions to address climate change, and increase green growth and sustainable development. The Forum is organised by Climate Action in partnership with UNEP, and will be held on December 9 in Lima alongside UNFCCC COP20. Register and find out more.
