New Chairs & Vice-Chairs appointed to WorldGBC's Regional Networks
The World Green Building Council has today announced the new Regional Chairs and Vice-Chairs of its five Regional Networks.
WorldGBC’s Regional Networks are powerful, collaborative platforms where Green Building Councils can effectively exchange knowledge, generate new ideas and design solutions that speed up green building across these regions, often through regional-specific projects.
The Regional Chairs and Vice-Chairs for WorldGBC’s five Regional Networks are:
Chair: Thulani Kuzwayo, Green Building Council South Africa
Vice-Chair: Elizabeth Chege, Kenya Green Building Society
Chair: Felipe Faria, Brasil Green Building Council
Vice-Chair: Francesca Mayer, Peru Green Building Council
Chair: Sundaresan Raghupathy, Confederation of Indian Industry (India Green Buiding Council)
Vice-Chair: BK Sinha, Malaysia Green Building Council
Chair: Christine Lemaitre, Germany Green Building Council (DGNB)
Vice-Chair: Alicja Kuczera, Polish Green Building Council
Middle East and North Africa (MENA):
Chair: Khaled Bushnaq, Emirates Green Building Council
Vice-Chair: Abdullah Bdeir, Jordan Green Building Council
Terri Wills, CEO of the World Green Building Council, said: “Whilst climate change is a global challenge, the solutions to it are often local and regional. Championing green building at these levels through our regional networks is therefore essential in order to deliver on our mission of green buildings for everyone, everywhere. Our new Regional Chairs and Vice-Chairs have been true champions of green building, and their leadership will help to strengthen the network of Green Buildings Councils in their respective regions.”
