Overwhelming response to call for case studies for new WorldGBC report on green & healthy buildings

Wednesday 02nd August 2017

WorldGBC has received an overwhelming response to its call for case studies on green and healthy buildings for a forthcoming report due to be published under the Better Places for People campaign in Spring 2018.

In May, we issued a call to businesses and organisations to submit expressions of interest for case studies of buildings that are both resources efficient and which improve the health, wellbeing, and productivity of those inside, with the potential to be part of a collection of buildings around the world that are showcased in our new report, sponsored by Land Securities and Delta Development Group.

Thanks to the efforts of many Green Building Councils, we were delighted to receive 60 submissions from 10 countries from the Americas, Asia-Pacific and European regions. Our Better Places for People Working Group – which includes GBCs – will be reviewing each submission and shortlisting the most innovative and insightful projects based on the criteria originally outlined such as building type and location, resource efficiency and health and wellbeing data, and the quality of that data.

For businesses or organisations which may have missed the 2017 submissions, stay tuned for more exciting opportunities to contribute in early 2018.

The new report will follow the 2016 Case Study report, Building the Business Case, which focused on the offices sector and was a huge success, with exposure to over 3 million people, more than fifty press mentions, and over 8,000 downloads.

Better Places for People is sponsored globally by Delos, Saint-Gobain and Skanska.
