Winners of Latvia Sustainable Building Contest Announced

On the 18th of September, during a special ceremony, the winners of the contest “The most sustainable building and project in Latvia 2014” were announced. The main prize and the title "The most sustainable building in Latvia 2014" went to the low energy consumption office building in 120 Z Dzelzavas Street, Riga.  The project manager and architect was Roberts Riekstiņš, and the construction was realized by the company "Riga Industrial Park"

A Message from the Europe Regional Network Chair

"There is a real sense of growing cohesion across the Europe Network, as GBCs build on the things they have in common and proactively share lessons learned. It was great to be able to share some of what we’ve been doing in the UK through an ‘open house’ forum at UK-GBC just before Ecobuild in March, with a wide range of Councils from across the Europe region and beyond, and to go on to a very productive Network meeting during the conference and exhibition itself. As ever we focused on where we could do more together – around education, events, awards and policy, and each of the taskforces has a packed agenda to deliver over the coming months.
