The GBCs in the Americas are putting their strength behind the Regional Network, with regional meetings in Cusco, Peru in April and Mexico City in August. Members are now eagerly collaborating on education, communications and policy initiatives.
In August, the Mexico GBC held a successful international congress and workshop in conjunction with the WorldGBC and UNEP on green building policy with government representatives and key stakeholders. Several other GBCs have held major conference in their countries including GBC Brasil, Peru GBC and GBC Bolivia. Councils in the US, Canada, Colombia, Brasil and Panama have been hosting a range of education events for their members.
The WorldGBC is very pleased to announce that the Guatemala GBC and Chile GBC have reached Emerging status - we congratulate them on their success!
