Asia Pacific Regional Network

Introduction and Overview

The WorldGBC's Asia Pacific Regional Network has been established to connect green building leaders and emerging leaders in the Asia Pacific region and promote the benefits of sustainable building practices.

The Asia Pacific Regional Network links individuals and organizations from countries throughout the region to provide support as they develop green building councils, develop rating tools and establish education programs for the development of green buildings.

While some countries in the region have well established green building rating tools, others are in the process of developing them and some are just considering the process. The network has been established to ensure that knowledge is shared and support provided in order to accelerate the pace of change.

The Asia Pacific Network includes the following members: Established: Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Chinese-Taipei; Emerging: Indonesia; Prospective: Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea; Associated: China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.

For more information about the network and its councils, download the September 2011 Asia Pacific Regional Report.
