Meet Vaibhav Jain
Vaibhav Jain is an Architect from Hyderabad, India, specializing in energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings. Immediately following his architectural education, he approached the India GBC (IGBC) to learn more about green buildings, attending workshops and networking with local professionals. He ultimately joined the firm of a well-known green building professional and member of the IGBC.
In the last year, he has facilitated six green building projects and plans to be involved in sustainable building throughout his career, with an aim of making green practices easily executable by the general public.
As part of his scholarship fulfillment, Vaibhav wrote up a summary of his experiences in Toronto on his blog. In describing his experience at Congress, he says, “...I was exhilarated to see a huge group which comprised members of around eighty Green Building Councils (GBCs) from all over the world, attending and interacting with enormous enthusiasm. There was a profound positivity among the people; everyone was sharing their experiences about the ongoing green building movement around the world as well as in their countries.”
