MENA Regional Network Update

The MENA Regional Network has had growing activity recently, including a regional conference call in May, where ideas for collaboration and support were put forward for future action. Other activities include:
- The JordanGBC signed two MOUs in July with EDAMA and Engineering Business Forum to enhance their collaboration on awareness programs and promoting green buildings.
- SaudiGBC has commenced its activities recently and they have signed an MOU with JordanGBC to cooperate on training workshops.
- EmiratesGBC and other councils have also been holding educational courses and networking events, including the JordanGBC and QatarGBC.
Further activities are expected to resume in the region soon after the festive season following the holy month of Ramadan, by the first week of September.
We are pleased that a number of councils continue to progress within the Network - the WorldGBC warmly congratulates the GBCs in Lebanon, Bahrain and Kuwait GBCs on reaching Prospective status.
