GBCItalia: green building as economic tool

In the days when the newly named Premier and Ministers are defining common plans and strategies for an economic recovery, GBC Italia suggested the Government leverage the positive effects that good environmental policies such as those related to sustainable buildings can have on economic development, while at the same time reducing public expenditure for fuel import and consumption. High quality buildings, respectful of the environment and caring of social aspects, green districts and distributed generation of clean energy, are just some of the ingredients of GBC’s activities. Italian enterprises have a unique opportunity to increase their innovation and export towards growing markets such as China or Brasil where rating tools as LEED® are developing faster than ever.

GBC Italia members are ready to support the Italian Government in implementing best practice policies to improve performance and quality of new and existing buildings and districts.
