Ilari Aho

Ilari Aho is Vice President of Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs at Uponor Corporation, and is responsible for Uponor Group's global sustainability program, regulatory affairs, international industry association networks, and international standardisation activities. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has close to 30 years of experience in business development, R&D and product development in the fields of radiant heating and cooling, low energy buildings and renewable energy.

Ilari has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Nomination Committee Chair of Green Building Council Finland. He currently serves as Vice President and Board Member in Water Europe, Presidium Member and Treasurer of the The European Construction, Built Environment and Energy Efficient Building Technology Platform (ECTP), Vice President of ENCORD (European Network of Construction Companies for R&D) and Executive Council Member of EHI (Association of the European Heating Industry). He has also served as President of EnR (the European Energy Network), President and Board Member of iiSBE (International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment) and in a number of other global networks in the energy efficiency and green building fields.

llari Aho joined the WorldGBC Board of Directors in 2017, and he has been nominated by Green Building Council Finland, and has served in WorldGBC’s Executive Committee as Vice-Chair or Secretary since 2018.
