Ms. Ada YS FUNG, BBS, FHKIA is an Architect by profession. She is an active member in the architectural field as well as in the construction industry in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. 

She is President of the Lighthouse Club (HK), Board Secretary of the World Green Building Council Board of Directors, Board Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council and Logistics & Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre. She is Chairperson of the Committee on Building Information Modelling (BIM), Chairperson of Asia Pacific Regional BIM Group, and previous Chairperson of the Committee on Construction Safety (2016 & 2017) of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) of Hong Kong. She is Secretary of Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Ltd. She is Adjunct Professor of Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Hong Kong, and serves as Advisor to various Associations and Institutions in the fields of architecture, engineering, environment, construction, safety, smart city, quality, project management, BIM, etc.

She has received Lighthouse Club’s Golden Helmet Award for Safety Leadership (2012), CIC’s BIMer of the Year Award (2014), Hong Kong SAR Government’s Bronze Bauhinia Star for Meritorious Service (2016) and International Passive & Low Energy Architecture Award (2018).

She is the previous President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (20132014), previous Chairperson of the APEC Architect Monitoring Committee of Hong Kong (2012/13 - 2015/16), and previous Chairperson of the Architects Registration Board (2010/11 - 2011/12).

In her previous career as Deputy Director of Housing until end 2017, she supervised the Development & Construction Division of the Housing Department, overseeing all facets of public housing development work in Hong Kong from project management, planning, design and contract management for delivery of affordable housing for more than 40% of the population in Hong Kong, and at the strategic level she has been establishing operational policies on procurement, design, construction, quality, performance assessment, dispute resolution, research and development, safety and the environment. 

She promotes partnering, value management, risk management, ethical integrity, site safety, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, community engagement, passive design, green building, BIM and digital construction, product certification in the built asset industry.
