We believe in strong governance and accountability – to our mission, to the green building movement, and to our member Green Building Councils.
And this is the role of our Board of Directors, a group of highly experienced building industry professionals who hold senior positions on the staff or Boards of our Established member Green Building Councils (or who are still closely affiliated with them).
The Board’s role is to advise and oversee WorldGBC’s organisational strategy and governance, and to ensure we are operating effectively as a not for profit organisation and delivering on our mission.
We follow best practice governance and elect our Chair and each Board member every two years.
Call for nominations
We’re looking for new Board Directors to help us achieve our mission of green buildings for everyone, everywhere!
In accordance with WorldGBC’s Bylaws, all candidates must be nominated by an Established GBC that is in good standing with the WorldGBC. Each Established GBC is encouraged to put forward between one and four candidates; however, only one candidate for each GBC will be eligible to join the Board.
WorldGBC values diversity: regional, gender and ethnicity, as well as skills and experience.
Board nominations are due by 31 March 2019 and Directors are appointed for a two year term commencing 01 July 2019.
