1. Commit
Commit to owning and developing only net zero operational assets and maximising reduction of embodied carbon, compensating any residual upfront embodied emissions, for any new developments and major renovations by 2030.
2. Disclose
Measure and publicly disclose energy consumption and whole life carbon emissions data of all current and future portfolio buildings through rigorous monitoring, yearly sustainability reporting, and continuous application of Measurabl, GRESB, ULI Greenprint, BERDE, EDGE, ANZ PH, and other certification schemes.
3. Act
Develop and implement a zero carbon program applying energy efficiency and carbon reduction solutions and strategies while fully utilising renewable energy sources for the power supply of all assets. Integrate whole life cycle approach to projects, maximising whole life carbon reductions.
4. Verify
Monitor and improve energy efficiency and whole life carbon emissions reductions through an internal due diligence process and continuous application of best practices with verification from third-party certifications.
5. Advocate
Advocate for a decarbonised built environment through collaboration with sustainability partners such as the Philippine Green Building Council, ULI Greenprint, and IFC. Educate tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders on the importance of net zero carbon through programmes under NEO’s community engagement campaign, #theNEOway.
