Wednesday 31st July 2013

Mark your calendar for the upcoming BGBC GREEN FUTURE event this September.

In 2013, the Bulgarian Green Building Council is hosting the first international BGBC GREEN FUTURE event in Varna, dedicated to sharing expertise, understanding policy and generating ideas intended to promote the sustainable development of the built environment.

The BGBC GREEN FUTURE event will take place on 20 September 2013 at Varna Free University Chernorizetz Hrabar, as part of a series of global initiatives intended to bring awareness and spread the mission of sustainable development during the international series of events in World Green Building Week.

The Traditional conference Sustainability Forum Sofia and the new initiative BGBC GREEN FUTURE in Varna will be the official BGBC events during World Green Building Week, and will be held alternately every year in Sofia and Varna.

The international event will be organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Investment Design and with the official partnership of the German and Austrian Sustainable Building Councils – DGNB and  ÖGNI – as well as Varna Free University Chernorizets Hrabar.

BGBC GREEN FUTURE will focus on one of the most important current topics facing local governments, business, and the construction sector around the globe – sustainable renovation of existing buildings. Leaders from the local and international green building community will come together to discuss policy, methodologies, best practices and innovative solutions.

Enjoy the high powered conference and inspiring plenary sessions, join the detailed and intensive workshops and informative seminars, and seize the chance to network at the Green Building Night Cocktail event in the evening.

BGBC GREEN FUTURE is intended for companies and experts in the construction field – architects, designers, engineers, planners, building envelope experts, facility managers, innovative technologies manufacturers, and representatives from the building materials industry, as well as mayors and representatives of local authorities,  students and scientific workers.

The draft programme is available at www.bgbc.bg and www.morethangreen.bgbc.bg.
