WorldGBC welcomes three new member Green Building Councils

The World Green Building Council is delighted that three new Green Building Councils have joined the organisation – taking our total number of member Green Building Councils up to 74.

Green Building Councils in Luxembourg and Venezuela have joined as Prospective members, and Norway as an Established Green Building Council.

Dominika Czerwinska, Director of Membership at WorldGBC, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome three Green Building Councils into the WorldGBC membership, strengthening our global green building movement, and our Americas and Europe Regional Networks.”

WorldGBC would also like to congratulate existing members who have progressed to the next level of membership including Pakistan Green Building Council for progressing to the Emerging level, and Panama GBC and Guatemala GBC for progressing to the Established level.

“Enabling each Green Building Council to be as strong as possible so they can advance green buildings in their own countries is a key goal of WorldGBC,” added Dominika.

WordGBC’s member Green Building Councils exist at three levels of membership: Prospective (in the early stages of development); Emerging (open to membership, with strong foundations in place); and Established (fully developed, operational and delivering change). Prospective and Emerging Green Building Councils are expected to progress to the next membership level within 24 months.
