  • NZCB Commitment Overview Document - high-level explanation of what the Commitment is. 
  • Detailed Guidance - further information and guidance on all the requirements of the Commitment.
  • Strategic Gap Analysis - this form can be filled out to see how you align with the requirements of the Commitment and what additional strategies may need to be put in place. Once completed, it will be used to help create your profile for the website.

This is the main technical document that outlines in detail, the information and requirments of the Commitment. Prospective signatories should read this in order to understand what is required of them at each stage.


Aligning Initatives:

WorldGBC belives that industry and sector alignment will enable further collaboration between stakeholders in order to achieve the rapid decarbonisation of the built environment.


Further Guidance:

WorldGBC is committed to continually improving the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment and guidance surrounding all aspects from technical directions to suggestions on advocacy.

  • 'Advancing net zero by planning for the removal of offsets' - position paper outlining WorldGBC's position on the definition of net zero and the use of offsets within the Commitment.
  • Going beyond 'direct control' - additional guidance on how signatories can further encourage and influence emissions reductions for activities beyond their direct control, including scope 3 emissions. This is intended to stimulate further action across the building value chain and help in building collaborative approaches to decarbonisation.
